0. Users and sponsors are 100% responsible
VAULT is not responsible for the actions of any user or sponsor. Every challenge, entry, photo, video, comment, message and agreement created on VAULT is created by users, and those users carry 100% of the responsibility for it — including its legality, safety, accuracy and consequences. VAULT does not author, direct, supervise or endorse any of it, accepts no liability for it, and is not a party to any dispute, injury, loss or claim arising from it. You must accept these terms and the Privacy Policy before your account can be created.
1. The service
VAULT is a challenge and prize platform that connects sponsors who fund contests — including photo and video challenges and free-entry Sports Picks prediction challenges — with creators who submit entries for a chance to win a cash prize. VAULT provides the software, challenge listings, prize tracking, voting tools, game-data integration and messaging. VAULT does not create, commission, direct, supervise, sponsor, endorse or verify any challenge, entry, message or other user content, and is not a party to any agreement between a sponsor and a creator.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use VAULT. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your login credentials confidential, and for everything that happens under your account. One person may not operate multiple accounts to vote, enter, or evade a suspension.
3. Challenges are between users
Every challenge is an arrangement solely between the sponsor who funds it and the creators who enter it. The sponsor is solely responsible for the legality, safety and terms of the challenge. The creator is solely responsible for how an entry is produced. VAULT does not guarantee that any challenge is lawful, safe, or that any prize will be paid beyond the prize amount described in these terms.
4. Sponsor responsibilities
Sponsors are solely and fully responsible for: the challenges they create and their legality in every jurisdiction where participants may act; participant safety; any required permits, licenses or advertising disclosures; the accuracy of the prize, rules and deadline they publish; selecting a winner fairly where sponsor-pick mode is used; and all tax, employment or regulatory obligations arising from the prizes they fund.
5. Creator responsibilities
Creators are solely and fully responsible for: their own safety and the safety of others while producing entries; obtaining consent from every person who appears in submitted media; respecting third-party property, privacy and intellectual property rights; complying with all applicable laws; and reporting and paying any taxes owed on winnings. You must not submit content you do not own or have the rights to use.
6. Prohibited content & challenges
No challenge, entry, showcase post, message or profile may involve: illegal acts; trespass; harassment, bullying or hate content; weapons; drugs or drug use; dangerous stunts or acts likely to cause injury; sexual content or nudity; exploitation of minors in any form; animal harm; fraud or deception; or anything that endangers a person or property. VAULT may remove any content, cancel any challenge, withhold any payout, and suspend or terminate any account at its sole discretion where these rules are violated or legal risk is suspected.
7. Payments, prize funds & commission
VAULT never holds prize money and does not act as an escrow agent. When a sponsor creates a challenge they add a payment card; no money is collected at that time and the challenge goes live once the card is accepted. The card is charged for the prize amount plus a platform fee of 13% only at the moment a winner is decided. Once the charge clears — typically about 2 business days — the prize is credited to the winner's Wallet, from which the winner can cash out to their verified payout account. Cash-outs are submitted as soon as the winner requests them; where an eligible debit card is available the payout may arrive in about 30 minutes (shown as Instant), and all other payouts are standard and typically arrive in 1–3 business days. If a challenge is cancelled, receives no entries, or ends without a winner being decided, the card is never charged and there is nothing to refund. Challenges may run for a maximum of 30 days. Sponsors have a 5-minute change window from the moment a challenge goes live in which they may edit or delete it; after that the challenge is locked and may still be cancelled at any time before a winner is decided, again with no charge. VAULT re-checks the sponsor's card while the challenge runs; if it becomes invalid the challenge is paused to new entries and the sponsor and all entrants are notified. If the card is declined when a winner is decided, the sponsor is notified and has 48 hours to supply a working card; if payment still fails the challenge is voided, no prize is paid, and the sponsor's account is suspended, blocked from creating challenges and publicly marked as having an unpaid prize. VAULT never covers, advances or guarantees a prize on a sponsor's behalf: if a sponsor's card fails, no prize is paid and VAULT has no liability to the winner, the entrants or any other party. VAULT retains an all-inclusive commission of 13% of each completed challenge. Payouts are issued to the winner's verified payout account after any required identity or age verification. VAULT is not a bank, escrow service or money transmitter; card processing and payouts are performed by third-party payment providers, and you agree to their terms when you add a card or cash out.
7a. Sponsor verification on large prizes
Any challenge with a prize over US$2,000 requires the sponsor to complete verification before the challenge goes live: (a) a government-issued photo ID check, including a selfie match, performed by our third-party payment provider, and (b) a payment card confirmed as valid. Sponsors are verified as individuals — VAULT does not treat sponsors as businesses and collects no business information — and identity documents are handled by the payment provider, not stored by VAULT. A challenge subject to verification is not published, is closed to entries, and no card is charged while verification is outstanding. If verification is not completed, is refused, or fails, VAULT may decline or cancel the challenge; the sponsor's card is never charged in that case, so there is nothing to refund. VAULT may require verification of any sponsor at any prize amount, at its sole discretion, and may pause or cancel challenges of a sponsor who has been asked to verify and has not done so.
7b. Taxes
VAULT does not calculate, collect, withhold, report or remit any tax on behalf of any user, and does not provide tax advice. Sponsors are responsible for all tax obligations arising from prizes they fund. Winners are responsible for reporting and paying all tax due on anything they win. VAULT is not an employer or agent of any user and does not issue tax forms; third-party payment providers may issue their own forms where the law requires it.
8. Entry limits
A creator may submit up to three (3) entries to the same active challenge before it expires. On a fourth attempt the upload is blocked and the creator is told that they have already submitted 3 entries for that challenge and should participate in a different challenge.
8a. Sports Picks prediction challenges
Sports Picks challenges are free-to-enter skill contests about real upcoming games. To enter, you type a final-score guess for both teams in every listed game; the higher score in your guess is your pick for that game's winner. Entry never costs money, no money is wagered, no odds are offered, and VAULT is not a bookmaker, sportsbook, or gambling operator of any kind. The prize is funded solely by the sponsor, whose card is charged for the prize plus the 13% platform fee automatically at settlement — no sponsor action or winner selection is required. Each user may submit up to three entries per Sports Picks challenge. Entries lock shortly after the first listed game starts, after which no new entries or edits are accepted. When every listed game has finished, entries are ranked by (1) the most correct game winners, then (2) the fewest total “points off” — the sum, across all games, of how far each guessed team score was from the actual score — then (3) the earliest entry time. Score guesses are private to their owner until settlement. If two or more entries are identical in all three ranks (same picks, same total points off, submitted at the same moment), those entries split the pot equally and each is notified in the notification center. Game schedules and final scores come from a third-party sports data provider; VAULT does not control official results, does not re-decide them, and is not responsible for errors in that data. VAULT's automated settlement based on that data is final, and disputes about the outcome of a real game are not grounds to reverse a settlement. A live rankings view may show standings based only on games that have already finished. After settlement, the winning entries, the actual scores, and each winning guess versus the actual scores are displayed on the challenge.
9. Voting & winner selection
Challenges are decided either by the sponsor's pick or by community upvotes, as stated on the challenge. Vote manipulation — including bots, multiple accounts, paid votes or coordinated voting rings — is prohibited and voids the affected votes. VAULT may disqualify entries and withhold or reverse payouts where manipulation is detected. Community-vote results are final once the challenge closes. Where a challenge is set to sponsor-pick, the sponsor has 48 hours from the moment the challenge expires to select a winner. If the sponsor does not select a winner within that 48-hour window, VAULT automatically awards the prize to the entry holding the most upvotes at the close of the challenge, and that automatic award is final. Winner selection is irreversible: once a winner is selected or automatically awarded, the sponsor's card is charged and the prize is credited to that winner's Wallet once the charge clears, and cannot be refunded to the sponsor.
10. Assumption of risk & release
You use VAULT and participate in challenges entirely at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release and discharge VAULT, its owners, officers, employees, contractors and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, injuries, penalties or disputes arising out of or relating to: any challenge; any entry or other user content; any interaction, transaction or agreement between users; any act that takes place off the platform; and any payout, prize hold or dispute between users.
11. No warranty
VAULT is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. VAULT does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that any challenge will be completed, or that any user will perform their obligations.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VAULT will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or earnings, arising from your use of the service or the conduct of any user. VAULT's total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of one hundred US dollars (US$100) or the commission VAULT actually retained from the challenge giving rise to the claim. VAULT is not responsible for the acts, omissions, content, challenges, entries or payments of any user, sponsor or creator.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless VAULT and its owners, officers, employees and affiliates from any claim, loss, liability, damage and expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: your content; your challenges or entries; your violation of these terms; your violation of any law or the rights of any third party; or any dispute between you and another user.
14. Content license & intellectual property
You keep ownership of the photos and videos you post. By posting, you grant VAULT a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce and distribute that content solely to operate and promote the service. You represent that you own or control all rights to what you post. If you believe content infringes your rights, report it through the app's support channel and VAULT will respond to valid removal requests.
15. Disputes between users & prize holds
Disputes about a challenge outcome are resolved between the sponsor and the creators involved. Where a payout is contested, VAULT may pause it until the parties resolve the matter, the dispute window expires, or a lawful order directs payment. VAULT's reasonable determination of vote manipulation, fraud or policy violation is final for purposes of prize payment. Because a prize is paid to the winner once the sponsor's charge clears (about 2 business days after winner selection), a charge made under section 7 is a final, completed transaction: a sponsor must not dispute or reverse such a charge with their bank or card issuer. If a sponsor files a chargeback or payment dispute for a charge properly made under these terms, the sponsor is liable to VAULT for the full recovered amount plus any dispute fees, and VAULT may suspend or terminate the sponsor's account and pursue collection.
16. Termination
You may delete your account at any time in Settings. VAULT may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create legal risk, or engage in fraud. Deleting your account does not complete pending payouts, which are handled under the payment terms above, and does not relieve you of obligations already incurred.
17. Apple is not a sponsor
Apple Inc. is not a sponsor of, and is not involved in any way with, any challenge, contest, prize or promotion run on VAULT. All challenges are run solely by the sponsors who fund them, under the responsibility terms above. VAULT, not Apple, is responsible for compliance with all applicable contest laws and for the payment of prizes as described in these terms.
18. Changes & contact
VAULT may update these terms from time to time and will note the effective date in the app. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. Questions about these terms can be sent through the Contact form in Settings or on this website.
